Managing Consultant and Founder

Susan Kiama is the Managing Consultant and Founder of Three Green Apples Consulting. Susan has over 24 years’ experience in people management and leadership. For the past 8 years at Susan has grown the consultancy practise to provide strategic and practical guidance and assistance to leading corporates, not-for-profit institutions and government owned entities through participation in strategy formulation, executive compensation and reward management, organization design and change management; performance improvement; management development and learning; people planning and resourcing and process improvement and automation.

Prior to founding Three Green Apples Consulting Limited in 2008, Susan was the Chief Human Resources Officer (HR Director) for Safaricom Limited, and prior to that she was the Head of Human Resources for Citibank, NA, Kenya Branch with responsibilities for Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania and Zambia. Susan has also worked as a Principal Consultant with Deloitte & Touche Consulting, Kenya. She started her career in the human resources profession with Tetra Pak UK.

Susan is a Fellow of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) Kenya and of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) UK. Susan sits on the Board of Directors of Chancery Wright Insurance Brokers, where she hold the position of Deputy Chair, Kenya Airports Authority where and she chairs the HR Committee of the Board, and Allavida Kenya – a not for profit institution. Susan also sits on the Board of Trustees of SOS Children’s Villages Kenya where she is the chair of the HR Committee of the Board.

Susan is certified and licensed to administer a host of SHL psychometric assessment tools. She is also certified in job analysis and competency design, job evaluation; competency based interviewing, project management and facilitating leadership and management programs.
